Respected Sir,
I shall be much obliged if you allow me a little space in your
esteemed paper to draw the attention of the authorities to the insanitary
condition of our City streets. Even though we have a Municipal Corporation, no
steps have yet been taken by the Municipal authorities to improve the
sanitation of the un-healthy streets in the City. Nearly all the drains are
blocked with rubbish and the filthy water is not allowed to flow causing foul
smell. They have become breeding centers of mosquitoes and other contagious
disease germs.
I would like to suggest that the streets should be provided with
more drains and the existing ones properly covered and cleaned. Some more
dustbins are to be provided and placed in different parts so that the people
may be stopped from throwing the waste on the streets. There should be daily
cleaning of the roads.
